our house

Within our home, I’ve worked to create a serene and peaceful foundation, with carefully chosen accents of vibrant colors and standout pieces. This approach allows the space to show a distinct personality without ever feeling overwhelming.

When we received the news that our floors needed to be completely replaced due to wood rot, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to embark on a full home redesign. Every wall, door, and trim received a fresh coat of paint, while we also laid new flooring throughout the entire house. We replaced the kitchen and upgraded the bathroom, making sure that everything flows together seamlessly. The new floors draw you into every room, and the light color opens up even the smallest spaces, keeping everything bright and inviting.

Paint // We refreshed our color palette with a stunning collection from Farrow & Ball, adding depth and character to each accent wall.

Kitchen // The kitchen was completely redesigned for improved functionality. The old layout lacked sufficient storage, so we made it a priority to triple the available space, resulting in a more user-friendly and efficient design.

Bathroom // The bathroom previously had almost no ventilation, so we installed a mechanical ventilation system. We also replaced the worn floor tiles with fresh, modern ones transforming the space into a more comfortable and practical area.

By designing custom built-in furniture that seamlessly wraps around the room, we ensured the small living area remains both spacious and serene, all while maximizing functionality.

The same style of custom built-in furniture greets you as you enter our tranquil bedroom, optimizing storage space by using all the space underneath the bed. While also showcasing our most cherished art piece in the house: a poster reproduction of Querelle Blue by Andy Warhol.

In our bathroom, we installed a large mirror that spans the full width of the cabinetry and extends all the way to the ceiling. This design choice not only enhances the spa-like ambiance but also makes the space feel larger and more open.

For the kitchen, we started with a budget-friendly foundation of IKEA cabinets, elevating the design with custom-made veneer fronts and walnut wood handles. Paired with a sand-colored composite countertop, the result is a warm, timeless space that feels both inviting and sophisticated.
